Biography
Joslynn started dancing at the age of 3 and never stopped. At age 6, they started competing with Evolve Dance Company. Freshman year of high school, they got a scholarship to assist the faculty of Titans of Dance for the 2019-2020 season. Some of the faculty include Fik-Shun, Autumn Miller, Alex Wong, Lane Napper, Easton Mags, and many more. This scholarship would Change their life drastically. Throughout their high school career, they started traveling around the country with Titans of Dance, Artistic Dance Exchange and more. During senior year, Joslynn auditioned for a training program called the CLI Conservatory in hopes of pursuing dance past graduation rather than go to a 4-year college. A few weeks later, an email read, “Congratulations Joslynn! Welcome to the 2022-2023 class of the CLI Conservatory!”. So at 18 years old, Joslynn packed up their life and moved 15 hours away to little Northampton, Massachusetts. For the next 10 months, Joslynn would train 50 hours a week in multiple different styles with multiple different instructors, have seminars for personal branding and social media, have private agency auditions and so much more under the direction of Teddy Forance. During this time they continued to travel the country with Titans of Dance and also joined another convention named Embody Dance Conference. Some of the faculty include Hayden Fredrick, Keenan Cooks, Gage Wayne and Chelsie Hightower. Following the CLI class’s end of the year show, “Press Play 2”, Joslynn moved back home to Rockford, Illinois. For the next year they taught at Miss Andrea's Dance Factory weekly, taught masterclasses at studios in surrounding areas(that went as far as Orleans, Indiana), and continued to travel with their convention families. In September, Joslynn accomplished one of their life-long dreams of teaching at a convention. Joslynn now lives in Madison, Wisconsin and teaches at Madison Professional Dance Center. They work with many of the competitive and recreational students teaching weekly classes and setting competition choreography. Apart from teaching at MPDC, they have set pieces for Miss Andrea’s Dance Factory, FAB Dance and Fitness Academy, and Dazzlers Dance Center. Through this all, Joslynn is still traveling with Titans of Dance (going on 6 years) and Embody Dance Conference (going on 3 years). Joslynn’s biggest life-long dream is to own their own convention and travel all around the world to teach dance to everyone regardless of financial status, race, location, accessibility, and identity.
